Longwood’s Retail Management MBA Going Online
The College of Business and Economics at Longwood has taken an unprecedented leadership role in preparing tomorrow’s global retail leaders by creating an online MBA in Retail Management. Historically, the retail industry has played a major role in the U.S. and world economies. As retailers struggle to adapt to many challenges -- from today’s economic turmoil, to globalization, to changing consumer values, to an aging work force – they’ll need to develop their skill sets in order to survive. Longwood’s MBA in Retail Management is ready to prepare tomorrow’s retail leaders.
This summer the College of Business and Economics will launch its first cohort of 20 students to begin its online Retail Management MBA program. MBA students in this new delivery model will have the flexibility to learn via the Internet, completing the two-year degree program part time with only two courses each semester and summer. Students will also participate in three long-weekend residencies at the beginning, middle and end of the program. These residencies will be applied learning experiences coordinated and executed using retail leaders alongside the College of Business and Economics’ renowned faculty. The College of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), which ensures that rigorous standards of learning will be ingrained in the online Retail Management MBA.
