How do I become a member of the Alumni Association? - Membership is free to all graduates. Former students who did not graduate but who earned 24 credit hours can also become members by requesting their names be added to the alumni rolls.
How do I update my information with the Alumni Association? - You can update your information by registering for the online community or going to http://www.longwood.edu/alumni/upform.htm .
How can I find contact information about a classmate? - Once you register for the online community, you can search the web-based alumni directory. If you prefer, you can contact the Office of Alumni Relations and the staff will send your information to the person you want to contact, giving that person your contact information.
Is there a printed Alumni Directory? - No, the only current alumni directory is the web-based directory found within LongwoodLink.com.
Where is the Office of Alumni Relations located on campus? - The Office is on the first floor of Lancaster Hall in Room 120.
How do I obtain a copy of my transcript or request one for an employer or graduate school? - You can request a transcript at http://www.longwood.edu/registrar/transcr.htm .

How can I make reservations at The University Inn, former called the Alumni House? - You can contact The University Inn by call the Innkeeper at 434-395-2617.
Who do I contact if I know someone who is applying for admission? - You need to contact the Admissions Office at
admissions@longwood.edu, 1-800-281-4677, ext. 2, or 434-395-2060. Letters of reference from alumni are welcomed. The mailing address is Office of Admissions, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Farmville, VA 23909. Also, you can refer them to the admissions web site –

How can I be considered for membership on the Alumni Board? - The Alumni Board selects five new members each year. Nominees must be donors to the Alumni Annual Fund. The demographic makeup of the Board is structured to reflect the demographic profile of the alumni body. Longwoodlink.com This is our online community which features a web-based alumni directory; class notes; event notifications and registration; news items, e-newsletters, photo albums, career networking and business card postings, resume and job opening postings, message boards; and online chats.
On-campus and Off-campus Events - You will receive invitations to both on-campus and off-campus alumni events. Some invitations are sent by email and some are sent by postal mail.
Bank of America Affinity Credit Card - Bank of America offers Visa, MasterCard or American Express cards, featuring Longwood's Rotunda. With each purchase you make using the Longwood card, you can earn points for yourself, plus a percentage of each purchase is given to the Alumni Association.
Career Services - You can assist students through mentorships, internships, and volunteering to speak to student groups. Through LongwoodLink.com, you can post your resume or job opening.
Alumni Insurance Program - Through Meyers and Associates and Liberty Mutual, alumni can purchase various insurance policies at reduced rates. For information, click here.
Longwood University Magazine - You will receive the Longwood Magazine, published two times a year. If you are not receiving the magazine, please be sure we have your correct mailing address.
Longwood Alumni E-Newsletters - The Alumni E-Newsletter is sent about eight times a year to alumni for whom we have email addresses. Be sure you keep your email address current in our files.
Longwood University Virginia State License Plate - Alumni living in Virginia can show their pride in Longwood with the Longwood University license plate. You can order one at your local DMV or online at: http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/exec/vehicle/splates/info.asp?PLTNO=&idnm=LW .
Former Alumni House -The former Alumni House is operated as a Bed & Breakfast for alumni and others associated with Longwood. For more information go to: http://www.longwood.edu/alumnihouse/ .
Lancer Athletic Updates - To receive regular information about Longwood Lancer athletics go to: http://www.longwoodlancers.com/ and sign up for the email updates.
Alumni Legacy Scholarship - Children of alumni are eligible to apply for the Longwood Alumni Legacy Scholarship. Two scholarships, ranging in amounts from $1,200 to $1,600, are awarded each year. Applications are available by contacting the Alumni Office.
