Maugans Alumni Center Grand Opening

Sept. 12, 2015    Farmville, VA

We invite you back to campus September 12 for the grand opening of the Maugans Alumni Center. The day will include the official building dedication, tours of the new Alumni Center, a complimentary luncheon, and a presentation on Longwood's rich history from Dr. Jim Jordan.

2015 Fall Reunion- Classes of '70 & '75

Sept. 12, 2015    Farmville, VA

September 12, 2015, will be a special reunion for the Classes of 1970 and 1975. You and your friends will be the first classes to be welcomed for dinner in the newly renovated Blackwell Ballroom and to see the Maugans Alumni Center. The planning committee has intentionally included class meetings to allow time to gather with fellow classmates and guided tours to explore Longwood's ever-changing and dynamic campus. 

Saturday will afford you the opportunity to reconnect and reminice with friends, experience the "Longwood of today", meet the new Alumni Office staff, sing in the Rotunda, and eat Baked Alaska at a "Birthday Dinner" - served family style.

Kids ElwoodLongwood Alumni Kids & Family Picnic
Sept. 26, 2015   Midlothian, VA

Bring the kids and the whole family out September 26 for our first ever family picnic at Huguenot Park! Lunch will be provided by Longwood Alumni Relations and catered by Chipotle! The afternoon will include plenty of fun activities for the little ones and your whole family will also receive a free Longwood t-shirt!

3rd Annual Alumni Charity Challenge
Sept. 30, 2015   Richmond, VA

Join us September 30 at Hardywood Brewery as we compete against over twenty-five other colleges and universities from around the country. Join your fellow RVA alumni to raise the most canned goods to benefit Feed More and the Central Virginia Food Bank.  Richmond’s vibrant food trucks will be on hand with food for purchase along with Hardywood’s great variety of local craft beer.

3rd Annual Longwood Lancer Golf Classic

The 3rd Annual Longwood Lancer Golf Classict at Lake Chesdin Golf Club is the signature fundraising event of the Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) for Longwood University’s College of Business and Economics (CBE). As an added bonus this year the tournament is being held in conjuction with Longwood Athletics and the Longwood Athletics Benefit Celebration! Grab a foursome and come on out!

Longwood Athletics Benefit Celebration

LABC 15Oct. 17, 2015   Richmond, VA

The Longwood Athletics Benefit Celebration is the signature fundraising event for the Lancer Club and the Longwood University Athletics Department.  Following the success of the 2012 and 2014 LABC events, this gala event will once again take place in Richmond, Virginia and attract alumni, fans, and friends of the University from across the state. Highlights of the evening include a live and silent auction, music, dancing, heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.  Proceeds from the LABC benefit student-athlete scholarships and the Lancer Fund.
